Lindsey Newton is APSCUF’s government-relations and communications intern for summer 2017. She just completed her junior year at Slippery Rock University as a political science major.

Aside from her studies, Newton is active on campus. She is the co-founder and president of a new organization at Slippery Rock, the Young Progressives. She is also a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society.

“I am excited to bring knowledge from my studies into action, while gaining a new and unique perspective from the internship,” Newton said.

In her free time, she enjoys reading and trying out new coffee shops.
