APSCUF will be hosting lobby day events on Tuesday, October 15 and Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Lobby day kicks off with a legislative reception on Tuesday evening from 5:30-8:30pm at Ceoltas Irish Pub. Wednesday morning begins at 8:30am with a breakfast briefing and is followed by meetings with legislators. At 12:00pm APSCUF will hold a press conference and rally in the Capitol rotunda.
Lobby day is an opportunity for faculty, coaches, and students to talk with legislators about issues important to our organization, our students, and our campus communities, including the threat of faculty layoffs, the need for additional state funding, and the preservation of quality public higher education.
