The Governors of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) adopted new policies at their quarterly meeting on January 19th. The meeting was conducted at PASSHE headquarters in Harrisburg.

The finance, administration, and facilities committee proposed new tuition guidelines for graduate students and distance learning students. Under the new guidelines, university-set fees would be assessed on a per-credit basis—allowing graduate and distance students to have university fees that match their workload. The State System will continue to assess technology fees across the 14 university system. Previous to this resolution part-time graduate and distance learners paid university fees at the the same level as full-time on-campus students. The new guidelines will go into effect this fall.
