After a meeting with administrators this morning, APSCUF’s California University chapter is postponing a no-confidence vote that was scheduled to begin Monday.

The vote was to be on California University of Pennsylvania’s interim president, Geraldine Jones, its council of trustees, and three vice presidents.

The union chapter’s president called today’s conversation productive, and faculty members agreed to continue talks.

“It’s our hope that we will be able to resolve some long-standing issues,” APSCUF’s Cal U chapter president, Barbara Hess, said.

The Cal U chapter is one of 14 that make up the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties. APSCUF also represents faculty members and coaches at the State System schools of Bloomsburg, Cheyney, Clarion, East Stroudsburg, Edinboro, Indiana, Kutztown, Lock Haven, Mansfield, Millersville, Shippensburg, Slippery Rock, and West Chester Universities of Pennsylvania.
